Uses

Sucralfate is used to coat ulcers in the digestive system and protect it from further damage from stomach acid. May also prevent ulcers in pets taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Possible Side Effects

Side effects are rare. However, please contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice your pet is ill in any way.

Drug & Food Interactions

Notify your vet of any other medications, including vitamins and supplements, your pet is taking while receiving Sucralfate, as it can affect the absorption of many of these. Do not give any of these within two hours of giving Sucralfate.

Precautions

Do not use this medication in pets allergic to it. Use with caution in pregnant or nursing females.
